2019 Consumer Confidence Report Drinking Water
We work with the Minnesota Department of Health to test drinking water for more than 100 contaminants. It is not unusual to detect contaminants in small amounts. No water supply is ever completely free of contaminants. Drinking water standards protect Minnesotans from substances that maybe harmful to their health.   • Upper Red’s harvest regulation allows anglers four walleyes, with one more than 17 inches. This “slot” targets the lake’s plentiful walleyes in the under-17-inch range, and was implemented to allow.
  • Presentation of the Cass Lake Cedar Lakes Casino & Hotel. The Cedar Lakes Casino is an establishment situated in Cass Lake, Minnesota. It is located outside of the city. Another slot machines are available with dollar, quarter, nickel and penny denominations. This establishment offers video poker, keno, bingo and table games such as Blackjack.

Water and Sewer Utilities

Water payments can be made online or in person at City Hall. If after hours, payments may be placed in the drop box located next to the entrance door at City Hall and are due the 10th of each month. Any payments received after the 10th will be considered late and be assessed a 10% penalty.

The City of Cass Lake requires building permits for many home repair/improvement projects. Our building official, Andy Sharpe can be contacted for any questions at 320-219-1145. Please stop in at City Hall for the application and to pay required fees.

City ordinance requires all rental homes to be registered and inspected with the City every two years. Complete the requiredapplication and turn it in with all applicable fees to City Hall.

Fees: $15 each day and if you are in the City Limits you will be required to have your dog(s) registered with the City. Please call for additional information and fees.

Lake Notes: Walleye Fishing has Re-Opened on Upper Red. 2 fish limit, with a 17-26 inch slot. Specializing in Walleye, Northern Pike and Crappie. Located about 60 miles north of Bemidji within the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Maximum depth of 21 ft.

Lake Notes: Specializing in Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Muskie and Northern Pike. Crappie, Bluegill and Rock Bass also caught. Deep lake with a maximum depth of 121 ft. Part of the Cass Lake chain of lakes connecting to: Andrusia, Big Wolf, Pike Bay, Kitchi, Buck, Rice, Big, and Little Rice lakes. Also connects to Lake Winnibigoshish via the Mississippi River. Over 26 miles of shoreline.
