Talking Stick Resort, an enterprise of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) in Scottsdale, AZ, kicked off November with the opening of a new high limit slots and gaming room. The reimagined gaming space comes as part of a series of renovations slated to open in the coming months and takes the place of what was formerly the property’s cigar lounge, Shadows.

“Talking Stick Resort is continuously evolving to give our guests new, exciting experiences while on our property. Our new high limit lounge is the epitome of that effort,” said Ramon Martinez, director of public relations of Talking Stick Resort. “We have long wanted a high limit room that echoed the energy and style shown throughout the property, this space does that.”

Designed to rival any lounge in Las Vegas, the new high limit lounge is 6,250 square feet of luxury. The room is adorned with intricate chandeliers, mirrored columns and richly hued carpeting reflecting the colors of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community logo. Another nod to the tribal community is a full mural of the majestic Red Mountain, a symbol of home to the Pima and Maricopa people.

Beyond its dynamic décor, the room boasts an array of exciting, high stakes games including 89 state-of-the-art slot machines and 14 table games. It also has a number of new conveniences for the comfort of guests. Beyond having its own entrance, Talking Stick Resort’s high limit room has its own dedicated cage and restrooms. Food service will also be offered to guests from Tash, the resort’s newest restaurant opening in January 2021. Another addition to Talking Stick Resort will be its newest bar, Sage Bar, also slated to open early next year.
